Observability in Onehouse
Onehouse offers rich observability for all features out of the box.
Monitor resources in the console
Check out the documentation below for instructions on monitoring each resource in Onehouse:
Monitor your deployment
- Advanced Monitoring — the Prometheus server and pre-built Grafana dashboards Onehouse runs inside your data plane.
Export telemetry to your own tools
Onehouse can send metrics and Spark logs to observability tools you already run. Start with Forward Telemetry to Your Own Tools for how exporters work, then follow the guide for your vendor:
| Destination | Signal |
|---|---|
| Honeycomb | Metrics |
| Datadog | Metrics |
| Grafana Cloud | Metrics |
| Splunk Enterprise | Logs |
| Spark Log Forwarding (AWS S3, Azure Blob Storage) | Logs |
For the metric names and labels every metrics destination receives, see the Datadog Metrics Reference.
Audit trails
- EKS Audit Logs — Kubernetes control-plane API activity in your data plane, archived to your own S3 bucket.
- Audit Logs — user activity inside the Onehouse application.
